Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, valuations, and budgets for reactive maintenance projects in social housing.
- Monitor and track project costs, ensuring they stay within budget.
- Assist in the procurement of contractors and suppliers, including managing quotes and ensuring compliance with contracts.
- Review and process payments, applications for payment, and variations.
- Work closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
- Support in the preparation of tender documents and the evaluation of bids.
- Provide accurate and timely reports on project performance, cost analysis, and progress.
Key Requirements:
- A relevant degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar (or working towards it).
- Experience in a similar role within the social housing reactive maintenance sector.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, tendering, and procurement processes.
- Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, with a high level of organisation and attention to detail.
