Immediate start. Perm role.
We are looking for a High Rise Assistant Site Manager. The position is full time and will be based in Wolverhampton. The candidate will form part of a busy team and will need experience of refurbishment, window installations, EWI, roof works, M&E, Decent Homes and be able to understand and drawings and scopes, be proactive towards health and safety, have a good eye for detail and be able to manage multiple trades. Qualifications SMSTS, CSCS & First Aid. Salary is 40K plus car allowance £4,560 per annum. This job will be perm.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Site Manager in the day-to-day management of high rise building construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Assist in coordinating and supervising construction activities, including managing subcontractors, monitoring progress, and ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Participate in site inspections and quality control checks to ensure workmanship meets the required standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with the project team to develop and update project schedules, including the identification of critical path activities and potential risks.
- Help maintain accurate documentation, including site records, progress reports, and safety records.
- Assist in managing the procurement of construction materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and efficient utilization.
- Monitor site safety practices and enforce adherence to health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Support effective communication and collaboration among various stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Provide leadership and guidance to on-site staff, resolving any issues or conflicts that may arise.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a construction-related role, ideally with a focus on high rise buildings.
- CSCS, First Aid, SMSTS
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and regulations, particularly related to high rise buildings.
- Familiarity with health and safety practices and regulations in the construction industry.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and motivate teams effectively.
- Proficiency in using construction management software and tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to different construction sites as required.
