Are you a Product Manager with an interest in product management and roll-out, who wants to contribute to the digital transformation of a key industry? Can you add value and support our Product Programme Manager to accurately represent the progress of Programmes? This role will form a part of Laing O'Rourke's Digital Design and Product team, charged with digitising the art of construction design by moving it from a file based to a data-driven approach. The primary responsibility is to help shape and define the tools we will use to collect design and product data from our design and supply-chain partners. This is key to being able to standardise the data collected across projects, facilitating data analytics to inform key decisions across the enterprise.

Can you help with the team's mission is to develop and implement a strategy to digitalise the production for Laing O'Rourke design information? Do you have the ability to connect standardised design data with high quality 3d design models?

Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for ensuring that information about the programme is complete.
  • You will assist in ensuring that objectives are documented, milestones defined and assigned to owners, that deliverables are specified, and progress tracked.
  • You will support the programme manager in ensuring that changes to plan are recorded and approved through the correct channels.
  • Assis the programme manager in ensuring that all risks and dependencies have been documented, Teams have been defined, and all work packages are being tracked within our programme management software.
  • Tracking programme costs, to include budget, actuals and forecasts.
  • Assist the programme manager in producing monthly progress reports.
  • Assist in ensuring that sprint goals are documented, sprint reviews held and recorded.
  • You will form part of a multi-disciplinary team of digital engineers tasked with transforming the way we do design. And as such will be expected to collaborate effectively with peers, and support in the reporting of progress to the programme manager
  • You will be expected to learn how to use the latest agile programme management software, data management capabilities and reporting and BI tools.

Skills and knowledge:

  • Good understanding of software development technology and process
  • Problem solver and creative thinker
  • Excellent communicator, able to work with a cross-section of stakeholders
  • Quick learner, able to grasp the complexities of the industry and the stakeholder relationships within it.
  • Experience of productively engaging independently with small teams of subject matter experts.
  • Experience of producing management reports, tracking progress, managing costs, document management techniques.
  • Experience of running and attending sprint reviews, team stand-up and retrospectives.
