Associate Director Job in Central Manchester
Associate Director Jobs in Manchester joining an award-winning landscape architecture practice with 40+ employees across 2 studios in London and Manchester. They offer a 50/50 hybrid approach accessible after probation meaning over a fortnight you are only required to be in the office 5 days!
Established 20 years ago they built a desirable reputation in the industry working on UK and Middle East projects. This is an opportunity to join a growing team of 12 in Manchester closely working with the director and the team to support the ambitious growth plans.
Role & Responsibilities
Leadership
- A managing team of 12 - 15 including senior members of staff across the studio projects both UK and International to meet practice high-quality standards
- Leads, and guides the more junior members of the team providing suitable training and constructive feedback to continue their creative, Technical, and professional development
- Mentor 3-4 staff members
- Assist and deliver CPDs and training across the practice as required.
Project Management
- Plan, coordinate, and manage the project process, maintaining involvement throughout
- Liaises with senior directors to ensure that provoking projects are delivered consistently and successfully
- Demonstrate an understanding of cost control, fee charging, and project ?nance
- Ensure all projects are resourced correctly and in line with fee proposals, reviewing and instructing the Associate and Senior Landscape Consultant team.
Client Relationships
- Lead project meetings and some client presentations, acting as the primary contact for client interaction and maintaining good relationships with clients to maximise opportunities for repeat business
- Engages with colleagues to support the development of new business, enhancing internal and external communication via functions, events, forums, and publications
- Preparation of fee bids and undertaking fee proposals and fee negotiations for projects.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of demonstratable UK experience in Landscape Architecture
- Experience in leading and managing a team across large-scale international and UK projects through all RIBA work stages
- Working knowledge of Revit
- Degree in related design ?eld or equivalent certi?cation or skill level
- Strong organisational and people management skills, encouraging collaboration and innovation within the teams to maximise performance
- CMLI is essential to this role.
