One of the largest consultancies in the data centre design industry are actively seeking an adept associate director to take a leading role within a newly set up office .

As Mechanical Associate, lead projects specifically within their Co-Location team, taking on a leadership role with an opportunity to progress and mentor younger engineers, partake in a client facing role with a clear progression route to Technical Director for the right candidate.

This rapidly growing organization is now dominating the Data Centre design market. With growth expectations around 20-30% annually and a diverse project portfolio both geographically and technically, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to become an industry recognised specialist in this buoyant market.

Responsibilities :

    Responsible for running Major projects. Takes Team Management role in the development and design and coordination of engineering project services for mechanical installations, systems, equipment, facilities etc. (majority of building types) Carries out cost and profit diagnosis on projects including feasibility studies and preparation of fee bids. Reviews status advised by project personnel and external parties and modifies schedules or plans as required. Prepares project reports for Management, Client or others. Represents Company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams and contractors teams.

Requirements

    BEng in appropriate engineering discipline or have sufficient equivalent experience MCIBSE/MIEE + appropriate experience or equivalent Chartered Eng status Significant experience of specification design for a range of building types Experience of data centre or other mission critical projects Sound knowledge & working application of key health and safety issues and legislation
