McGinley are looking for AP's with strong OLE experience, this will begin as weekend shifts and move into midweek work. Christmas shifts are available.
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Authorised Person (OLE) to join our dynamic rail team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the management, installation, maintenance, and safety operations of Overhead Line Equipment (OLE) on rail projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that all work conducted under your supervision complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and project-specific requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the designated Authorised Person responsible for overseeing and supervising all OLE-related activities on site.
- Ensure that all works are carried out in compliance with Network Rail and industry standards.
- Conduct site inspections and safety audits to ensure the safe and effective operation of OLE systems.
- Lead the isolation and earthing procedures in accordance with safety regulations.
- Issue permits to work and ensure that any person working on or near live OLE systems is qualified and trained.
- Liaise with engineers, contractors, and site managers to ensure all project requirements and deadlines are met.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure appropriate control measures are in place.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the project team and contractors.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Authorised Person status for OLE works (valid certificate).
- Extensive experience working on OLE systems in a rail environment.
- Strong understanding of Network Rail standards and regulations related to OLE.
- Knowledge of isolation procedures and safe working practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- PTS (Personal Track Safety) certification.
