Our client is currently looking for an experienced and motivated candidate to work in their busy Design Office as a designer to carry out detailed design drawings working on Main Contractor engagement and for Architects, Roofing Contractors and Domestic projects.
They offer a complete and impartial roof design and supply service for both new build and refurbishment projects, including single ply, zinc, copper and stainless-steel roofing and cladding, and green roof systems.
Being a leading supplier of specialist construction materials, distributing throughout the UK, Europe and the Middle East, our client have a large presence in the construction industry. From ground works to the roof and everything in between, they deliver a full range of specialist materials.
THE ROLE:
As a flat roofing designer, you will produce general library and project specific CAD detailing for their range of waterproofing solutions. You will give technical support and advice, and be a point of contact, for their approved contractors and branches, by undertaking and sourcing technical calculations for the wide variety of flat roof waterproofing products and associated elements, including wind uplift, Insulation "U values", drainage and condensation risk. You'll coordinate with specification producers both internally and externally regarding compliant solutions.
Working alongside the Sales Team, you will also help to ensure that flat roofing inquiries are converted into sales through our strong Specification production including full Project Proposals for their Major Projects Division, where quick turnaround time and accuracy of information is key.
You'll be expected to maintain and expand on their commitment to support not only their Accredited Roofing Contractors but most importantly maintaining the momentum and good will that has been developed with Key Main Contractors, providing a platform to roll this service out with other organisations in the near future.
ABOUT YOU:
: Qualification in construction related discipline
: AutoCAD experience
: Knowledge of the standards and regulations within flat roofing industry, however this can be taught
: Excellent communication and influencing skills
