JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our client is looking for an experienced and hardworking banksman to join them on a project based in Smethwicl. You will be working on a new build development which is within the town and should be accessible by public transport, though does also have parking if required. The contract is on a temporary basis, with potential for ongoing work; working hours being 7.30am-4.30pm, Monday-Friday, with the option to work overtime at the weekends.
Daily responsibilities will include:
- Conducting site safety inspections: A banksman inspects the work site to identify any potential hazards, such as low hanging power lines, unstable ground conditions, or blind spots
- Directing traffic and equipment: guide drivers and operators of equipment, such as cranes, forklifts, and trucks, using hand signals or radios to ensure that they move safely and efficiently around the site.
Requirements for the role
- A valid CSCS card
- Banksman ticket
- Dumper ticket
- The ability to perform physical manual labour
- Experience banking trucks and traffic
- Experience working in a busy environment
- Own PPE - High vis vest, safety glasses, gloves, dust mask and hard hat can be provided by Daniel Owen
- Vehicle banksman training prefered
