Renewco's founders have over 100 years of combined renewables development and investment experience, having successfully developed more than 10GW of renewables in over 50 countries, raising more than £2 billion to finance these assets in the process.

Ahead of plan, we are seeking an experienced storage specialist who is interested in enjoying all the benefits associated with joining a tight knit team with lots of development opportunities on the go. With some of these being in the US and UK, we really need strong storage experience, this is a real chance to make your mark, working directly with the senior founders to maximise the potential in clean energy projects.
This is a new and extremely interesting role responsible for supporting the development and implementation of BESS development strategy across multiple geographies including the UK, US and mainland Europe.
About the role.
Responsible for providing expertise in support of the Renewco Power's delivery of Battery Storage and Hybrid PV/Wind/Storage projects including battery storage and hybrid systems.
Key activities
- Supporting the executive team to analyse investment business case for the development of standalone and co-located BESS projects across Europe, UK and US.
- Coordinating and building relationships with BESS integrators and suppliers.
- Providing technical and commercial inputs to BESS financial models as hybrid or standalone projects.
- Communication of technical matters with colleagues and co-development partners
- Acting as lead on BESS integration and business case modelling.
- Working with aggregators and leading on the selection of aggregators or asset management strategy.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in stand-alone and hybrid energy storage systems and technology.
- A strong understanding of the technical, contractual, and commercial potential for revenue streams applicable to battery energy storage systems.
- Experience in design, procurement and evaluation methods.
- Knowledge of battery technologies, chemistries, attributes, readiness levels and use-cases
- Knowledge of onshore wind and solar PV technologies, HV equipment and substation design principles.
- Understanding of international grids, codes, practices and connection processes.
- A qualification in electrical engineering or a similar discipline.
- Significant experience of BESS systems and their application.
- Substantial project delivery experience in a technical role (Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services or similar).
- Knowledge of CAD software
- Willingness and ability to travel as required
