Kier Group is seeking a bid director who will play a leading role in shaping the Kier Highways business through retaining and securing new term contracts, major projects, and frameworks to support planned and sustained growth.

The bid director is a senior position within the work winning team, reporting to the work winning director. The bid director will collaborate with the business leads from maintenance, major projects, design, technology, and specialist highway services to convert a healthy pipeline of opportunity into contracts. The work winning team is results driven and deadline focused, with a passion to deliver innovative solutions. Location: Homeworking with some travel to Kier offices and other sites as required.

Contract: Permanent, Fulltime

Salary: £competitive

Responsibilities

As bid director you will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of the bid process from initial identification of opportunity through to final submission and handover into delivery.

Your day to day will include:

  • assure the quality of bids by ensuring that the solution has been agreed by operational colleagues
  • the commercial submission is attractive
  • the standard of the written narrative effectively articulates Kier Highways values and strengths
