Kier Construction are looking for an experienced Bid Manager to join a hugely talented Pre-Construction team. You will bring with you a plentiful experience from a Design, Commercial, Planning or Operations discipline and knowledge of the bid management process from within a main contractor background.?We are looking for a 'hands-on' role and the Bid Manager will be an integral part of the team and management of a variety of projects through their pre-construction phase.

As a Bid Manager, you will lead the project team and ensure clients are provided with properly constructed commercial and technical information to an industry leading standard. This will involve you chairing client, design and project meetings; briefing the team, liaising closely with the client team as well as our internal subject matter experts and ensuring all deliverables are completed on time whilst complying with Kier's policies.

Job responsibilities?

You will have overall management of the Second stage project bid, ensuring compliance with internal governance. While working closely with the Commercial Manager, Planner, Project Manager and wider project team, you will offer high quality information at each project gateway through the second stage, presenting to clients and their consultants and end users.

As lead of the second stage, you will need to ensure client satisfaction and schemes are delivered on time and within budget whilst securing agreed returns.

What?do?we need from you?? ??

We are looking for candidates with extensive experience in Managing project teams through a two-stage process, with excellent communication and negotiation skills. You will have good project management skills as well as a thorough understanding of risk analysis. We are also looking for candidates who hold a relevant construction related qualification (Degree, HNC or similar)
