We are Kier, one of the UK's leading construction and infrastructure services, working on projects such as Hinkley Point and Mogden Sewage Treatment Works.
We are now recruiting for a Bid Manager to join our Kier Infrastructure Major Projects team in Waterbeach to be responsible for the end-to-end management of our civil engineering tenders, ensuring the team you lead is motivated and we are in the best position possible to win profitable work.
Key Responsibilities
This is an exciting Bid Manager role where you'll be working closely with the preconstruction team, ensuring relationships with our clients are maintained. You'll be conducting all prequalification work, preparing the win strategy and deliverables prior to tender, as well as identifying any resources required. As a bid manager you'll manage the tender commercial, design and planning, while safeguarding your methods to ensure commercial, programme and pricing approaches are aligned and do not expose Kier to undue risk.
What do we need from you?
We are looking for a collaborative individual, with previous Bid Manager experience, who can engage and lead a team to deliver agreed outputs. You'll constructively challenge to ensure excellence in all bid material and deliver results to prescribed deadlines. Communication is key, so we will trust you to build excellent relationships with clients and other key stakeholders. You will need to be clear and realistic in your commitments to clients and focus on keeping your team regularly informed.
