We're looking for a Bid Writer to join Kier Construction within our Clients & Markets business unit. The role itself is flexible on location in the UK. Within this role, you can enjoy company car/car allowance, pension matched up to 7.5%, 26 days holidays + bank holidays and even more.

Contract: Permanent - flexible and part-time hours available if desired, just let us know.



Responsibilities



As a Bid Writer, you will support bidding excellence on a wide range of frameworks and projects across Health Sector. You will be responsible for understanding tender documents and Client requirements, developing win themes and answer plans, engaging expert contributors, articulating Client-focussed solutions, and Kier added value

Developing and producing high-quality written submissions across our construction business, you will work closely with our regional bid teams in response to client specific needs, key responsibilities include but not be limited to:

  • Monitoring quality bid performance, capturing lessons from feedback
  • Identifying win themes, market trends, and future USPs
  • R&D into win themes, communicating outputs and action plans
  • Writing compelling, accurate, evidence-based, concise responses
  • Leading quality submission written responses for framework and call-off bids
  • Apply our bid process and support its continuous improvement
  • Understanding Client needs, including reviewing tender requirements
  • Collaborating with the bid manager to develop compelling win themes
  • Leading collaborative answer planning, developing detailed answer plans




Who are we looking for?



Working on healthcare projects valued up to and over £100m, we are looking for like for like industry experience. You will need to hold the relevant qualifications, along with a solid history of working on bid writing. Key attributes that we're looking for in applicants include:

  • An excellent facilitator and presenter
  • High level written skills with the ability to sell.
  • Self-motivated and resourceful with the ability to prioritise workload
  • Graphic design experience
  • Ability to format and present visually stimulating construction documents and produce PowerPoint presentation to a high standard.
  • Ability to communicate with senior people / teams
