Due to an internal transfer, we're looking for a bid writer to join our Highways Work Winning Team. This is a remote working role where you will be responsible for completing responses to selection questionnaires and tenders on behalf of Kier. You will play an integral role in shaping the Kier Highways business through retaining and securing new term contracts, major projects, and frameworks to support planned and sustained growth. The work winning team is results driven and deadline focused, with a passion to deliver innovative solutions. Location: Remote working available, with travel to local Kier office as required

Contract: Permanent, Fulltime

Salary: £45k - £65k (depending on experience)

Responsibilities

As a Bid Writer, you'll be working closely and flexibly with all members of the work winning team to develop tailored proposals which provide compelling narrative for selection questionnaires, tender submissions and other proposals e.g. industry awards submissions

Your day to day will include:
  • Following analysis of client requirements, develop proposal templates which comply with client instructions
  • Convert knowledge and technical information from operational teams into easy-to-understand language
  • Write, edit and format responses to tender quality submissions, drafted by yourself and others
  • Support the sharing of best practice and lessons learnt across the work winning team and Kier Highways proposing improvements to quality submissions
  • Support the collation of evidence and collateral for the knowledge hub/bid library from Kier Highways contracts and projects
Who are we looking for?

This role of Bid Writer is great for you if have:
  • proposal/bid writing experience, preferably within the infrastructure sector
  • highly proficient in MS Office and possess advanced MS Word skills
  • strong use of oral and written English, with the ability to present ideas in a straightforward and easily understandable way
