Our Devon and Cornwall team are looking for a BIM Manager who will be responsible for information management, business unit digital maturity and supporting across a wide array of Kier's projects.


Key Responsibilities:

As a BIM Manager, you will support BID teams with responding to BIM related questions in PQQs and ITT submissions along with supporting career development, coaching and mentoring reportes. You will monitor the uptake of BIM across all tenders to fulfil assurance procedures relating to early assessment of design team capability and internal resource considerations. It's important that you ensure the supply chain capabilities assessments are completed scored for that business unit/project in addition to ensuring Clients Exchange Information Requirements are responded to and delivered against. To confirm the BIM Execution Plan and other documents/resources have been produced and maintained for the project/s and adhering to the methodology of ISO 19560-1 & 2 ensuring the use of the common data environment process to manage and exchange information.

You will be working closely with the Head of BIM to support the strategic direction and development of BIM. You will be required to provide feedback to the Senior BIM Manager to ensure progress is being made and commitment to such documentation is being observed. Principally, you will be responsible for raising awareness in regards to the profile of BIM and within business unit/project functional departments including business Development, Work Winning, Estimating, Design Management, Building Services, Commercial, Planning, Operational and SHEA. You will be using the defined processes, documentation and methodology for delivering BIM in live with company certification and feedback recommendations for improvements as well as promoting cultural change within the business unit/project to embrace new technologies and processes.


What do we need from you?

The ideal candidate will have experience of implementing the 1192 suite of documents, decent knowledge of the ISO 19650 series and knowledge of open BIM standards such as IFC and COBie to support information interoperability. As you will be working with stakeholders, its important you have strong communication skills and to be able to build positive working relationships, internally/externally across all levels of management including the ability to line manage/coach/mentor others. As a BIM Manager, its important you are confident and assertive when challenges need to be overcome and being able to coordinate and manage own workload, to prioritise accordingly to supporting project delivery.
