We're looking for a BIM Manager to join our Major Projects Devonport department based in Plymouth, Devon. Within this role you can enjoy 26 days annual leave, sharesave scheme, family friendly policies and even more.

Responsibilities

As a BIM Manager you'll be working within the major projects Devonport team, supporting them with the refurbishment of the 10 dock at Devonport. As the authority for Building Information Modelling (BIM) this role will drive and support the use of digital design and asset information, ensuring compliance with industry standards, Kier policy and meeting client requirements

Your day to day will include:

  • Monitor the completion of BIM Gateway forms throughout the project lifecycle management (PLM) to fulfil assurance procedures relating to early assessment of design team capability and internal resource considerations.
  • Support the design teams to develop accurate 3D designs in accordance with the scheme requirements.
  • Assist the design team to get the most out of the key design and authoring software used and smooth the way for delivery into federated models.
  • Work with multiple stakeholders to manage and mitigate design risk through the use of federation tools for clash reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with PAS1192-2
Who are we looking for?

This role of BIM Manager is great for you if:

  • You have evidential experience and positive track record of 'best in class' supply chain procurement in a similar role within a complex project and able to demonstrate experience of significant cost and time savings.
  • You have a good understanding of Target Cost contracts.
  • Confident in the use or thorough understanding of the key design and authoring software (Microstation (essential) but also 3D Civils, Revit)
  • Experience of implementing BS1192:2007 & PAS1192 suite of standards and knowledge/experience of ISO19650.
  • You have demonstrable excellence in supporting the delivery of design, construction & commissioning of large water sector related projects
