An exciting opportunity for a BIM Manager working for a major joint venture has come up in the Birmingham area to work on HS2. In this long term role, you will assist with the design and be responsible for producing CAD and BIM drawings on various of projects, as well as guiding less senior CAD/BIM technicians within the team.
Job description
- Ensure that model is developed in a Common Data Environment that follows BS 1192.
- Maintaining the reliability of the Project Information Model and define the exchange information protocols. Coordinate the integration of information within the model. Define the procedures needed to control the reliability of information produced and received.
- Define BIM arrangements and tools and the 3D Coordination procedure to be implemented. Establish the control procedure of the project model.
- Populate BIM documents and keep them updated.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and develop the use of Project Information Model across the project.
General requirements:
- Knowledge of current industry BIM standards and documentation
- Previous expereince as a BIM Manager
- Previous engineering experience preferable
