There is an exciting opportunity to join Bellway, one of the UK’s largest house builders. Our Scotland West division located in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire is looking to recruit an Apprentice Business Administrator to join the Construction Team. The Role Bellway’s Construction team is an office based team providing support to the Construction Site teams and Construction Director. As well as completing an SVQ in Business and Administration at SCQF Level 6 Apprenticeship, you will learn how a busy office runs, and carry out admin tasks as required. These will include: Filing, use of Excel and Outlook, communication with partners, answering any queries, as well as keeping all records up to date within the construction team. Receiving department calls, ensuring urgent messages are actioned immediately and directed to the Construction Manager or Site Manager responsible and providing relief switchboard / reception cover as required. You will communicate closely with Site and Site Managers, dealing with any admin related tasks as and when required. Qualifications and Skills Desired qualifications National 5, ideally in Maths, English and a Business / IT subject. Desired Skills Desire to learn Attention to detail Organised Friendly and helpful Flexible and able to prioritise a changing ‘to do list’. Trustworthy and reliable Self-motivated with a ‘can do’ approach Committed to diversity and inclusion Personal Qualities Articulate and a good communicator (both written and verbally) Proficient in using a computer (especially Word, Excel and Outlook) Ability to adapt to new systems e.g. Dynamics. Able to work in a team The Role and Working Conditions 09:00am – 17:00 (Mon – Fri), 35 hours per week 18-24 Month Apprenticeship £192.50 per week Willing to be flexible in respect to day to day duties Office based role Future Prospects Full time position for the right candidate
