Business Analyst & Trainer

Location: Flexible - main office of Loughton or Basingstoke

Business Area: Kier Places - Housing Maintenance & Facilities Management

Contract: Permanent, full time

Thinking. Doing. Innovating. Delivering.

Kier Places provides a full range of property management services to clients in and around homes and workplaces across the UK. We provide specialist teams and technology solutions to help plan, manage and improve our clients' workplaces. This provides our clients with access to solutions not readily available in their own organisations. It also enables our clients to focus on their core business, while Kier takes care of the rest.

Kier Places are recruiting now for a Business Analyst & Trainer to support our Housing Maintenance & Facilities Management business units, and drive change management by liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

As a Business Analyst & Trainer, we will look to you to capture and document information to assess the business needs, analysing the impact of changes and documenting requirements to support the delivery across the business.

Working collaboratively with the wider business, you will facilitate workshops to identify key points in the customer journey and prepare process maps, standard operating procedures, and training material to support improvement initiatives. In order to work collaboratively for this role, it will also require you to act as bridge between IT and business stakeholders, including full involvement in Analysis, Test Preparation, Testing and Implementation activities on projects or initiatives.

Acting as a focused and trusted Business Analyst & Trainer, you will need to navigate through business problems, identifying key solutions and drive process optimisation (including as-is/to-be) and deliver training programmes through a variety of online & offline platforms; as well as understanding system & process capabilities in use to identify key changes and assess associated impacts, and assist in the design of technical/other solutions.

What do we need from you?

The successful Business Analyst & Trainer candidate should have demonstrable experience in a similar business analysis role with knowledge of MS Visio & Adobe Video; a solid understanding of process modelling; experience of the design and delivery of high-quality training courses; and has operated within a large-scale change management environment. You should also have a highly collaborative working style with the ability to influence and build positive relationships with stakeholders; and have an approach focused on output, deliverables, and change management.

It would be a bonus if you have experience within a Kier or Kier Places-related company, as well as experience with systems like Concept Evolution & FSI Go; knowledge of MS Projects, Azure DevOps or JIRA; and qualifications relating to Business Analysis - but this is not essential.

Due to the nature of this role, you should hold a full UK driving licence, as travel to our offices & sites may be required.

What will you receive?

You can expect a competitive salary and an outstanding package that includes a company car, a matched pension scheme up to 7.5%, 26 days' annual leave + bank holidays (with the opportunity to buy or sell holiday) together with two employee Share Scheme options (Sharesave and Share Incentive Plan). Please don't hesitate to ask during the recruitment process around agile working and flexibility - We'll do our best to support you.

Pre-employment checks

It's worth remembering that if you are successful, we'll undertake the relevant / standard pre-employment checks after you have been offered a job. This includes taking up your references, verifying your right to work in the UK, verifying your driving licence (if applicable) and a health assessment.

Due to the nature of this role, you will also be required to complete a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service Check (applicants with criminal convictions will be treated on a case by case basis. We do not discriminate based on an applicant's criminal record or the details of any offences disclosed to us). Some roles may also be subject to further pre-employment checks.
