Introduction:Kier is looking to recruit a
Business Assurance Manager to report to the Head of Business Assurance. The successful candidate will act as the business assurance interface to the Division, ensuring the Business Assurance management system is maintained and utilised.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide internal and external assurance of Business Unit processes
Suitability qualified and experienced (SQEP) capacity to meet the assurance requirements of current and future legislation
Compliance in line with internal policies, processes and written systems
Creation of Business Unit and Group documentation to fit within the Assurance Landing page (SharePoint)
Provide advice and guidance to Directors and managers on quality/assurance and governance issues
Work closely with the Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) function throughout the business and support a process of Integrated management systems
Complete internal audits and cross audits of other divisions, providing objective evidence of Governance, Assurance and Continual Improvement
Lead, manage and motivate managers and staff to establish their full commercial contribution to the organisation and to ensure all relationships are collaborative
Develop, support and lead relationships with current and potential stakeholders such as customers, contractors, sub contractors and suppliers
Lead and/or participate in efforts to review and improve business processes
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Experience of operating at senior level both internally and externally
Experience of delivering and implementing Assurance and Quality improvement programs with demonstrable commercial results
Focussed on achieving the strategic goals of the Function
Chartered professional in a relevant discipline
Ability to consult and make decisions across all levels in the business
Ability to prioritise and manage conflicting projects/demands including effective communication with key stakeholders
Ability to positively influence and facilitate/guide the Business Unit Assurance teams
Good decision making and problem management skills including knowledge and application of data analysis techniques
Ability to work flexibly, i.e. outside of recognised normal working hours
This role will require extensive travel throughout the UK.
