Your role as a Business Data Analyst

Working as a Data Analyst across our Telecoms contract you will be based at our Basingstoke depot. We are looking for someone who has a passion for working with data and has a clear understanding of the value this provides to solve real-world business problems.

Key Responsibilities of a Business Data Analyst

  • Delivering regular, timely and actionable insight to the team and senior stakeholders making data recommendations
  • Using analytical expertise to challenge opinions when necessary
  • Performing analytical deep dives on business issues to identify drivers and trends, extract insight from data
  • Looking at multiple data sets and extract insights based on historical and current data will be essential
  • Undertaking complex analytical queries using statistical methodology and tools
  • Using visual management aids for developing dashboards using Power BI/Tableau within a fast-paced change focussed environment
  • Managing and prioritising an evolving workload, communicating effectively with team members to ensure on time delivery and reduce duplication across teams
To be a successful Business Data Analyst we need from you

  • Comfortable working in an operational database environment and within an environment of significant business change
  • Experience using Power Automate and SQL
  • Confidently build and present meaningful data visualisations, in Excel/Sheets and a dashboarding platform such as Power BI
  • Able to document and version control your work so others can pick up and build on it
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment where prioritisation is required
