Dutton Recruitment are looking for a Strategic Business Development Manager to join our client at a really exciting time for their Sales team and the wider business.
You'll be responsible for winning corporate and strategic customers UK wide for us as well as working with the wider business. You'll use your sales techniques to prospect and open the door to customers within general industry such as Petrochemical, Energy, Paper & Pulp, Cement and Steel. The suitable candidates shall need to thrive on the challenge of new business and not be afraid of the prospecting side of sales, be target driven and self-motivated. The role shall involve commuting to our client's head office based in Dartford.
Main Duties
- Responsibility in business development for E&I projects in sectors: Petrochemical, Energy, Paper &Pulp, Cement and Steel including electrical distribution panels (LV /MV, control and DCS cabinets)
- Establish targetable areas geographically and then look for suitable enterprises to reach out to within the phased area
- Connect with the required individual responsible for these services within the organisation and arrange an initial onsite meeting to discuss their requirements further
- Responsible for maximising business with new and existing clients
- Building and managing client relationships
- Maximising on lapsed, new and existing accounts
- Representing a superb brand image
- Maintain a deep understanding of the product
- Research potential clients on the internet and LinkedIn
- Ability to drive sales from conception to completion
The Candidate
- Successful previous experience within a sales background
- Demonstrate sales experience and knowledge in E&I projects
- Experience of working within desired industries
- Confident at presenting at boardroom level
- Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, Power Point, Excel and Outlook
- High enthusiasm, strong sense of responsibility, honest and confident
- Experience building client relationships that lead to account revenue growth
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, team building and organization ability
- Ability to deliver up-to-date market information such as competitor's price, product development trend and change of standard and regulation.
- Bring new ideas to the business in ways to improve our products and market share
