Business Development Manager - Refurbishments & Service Contracts

Salary £35k - £45k OTE £55k uncapped earning potential!

Our client is a well-established company that offers a comprehensive lift maintenance service, supplementary Tests (Formally LG Tests), Health & Safety Audit, Risk Assessment. They also install & refurbish new passenger and stair lifts. Our client is looking for a skilled Business Development Manager with a refurbishment and service contracts background. The ideal candidate will come from the lift industry and engineering background. The successful candidate will have experience winning new business and project managing the contracts through to completion.

The Role
You will be responsible for - Winning new business from surveying and quoting new clients.
Work collaboratively with the client from start to finish, including ordering key components this could be from a control panel to a full new lift.
To expand the client service portfolio - arranging and attending tender meetings - relationship building every step of the way.
You will carry out site audits for our clients engineers including subcontractors. This will ensure service visits and major projects are carried out to the required standard. These site audits extend to a third party basis for prospective new clients.
Upon completion of audits you will need to write detailed reports of your findings. This will include your recommendations for installation and refurbishment improvements.
You will also resolve issues to retain service contracts.
Preparing sales proposals for clients and following up strongly to secure the work.
You will manage the whole sales process and be able to follow up on sales to building a long term client-base.
There will be office support for lead generation and office support for producing quotations.
You will cover a nationwide workload based from West Yorkshire.
The Person
Having the traits of a hunter and farmer are essential to be successful.
You will not be adverse to travelling between clients account managing and pitching new business.
You will target Architects and main contractors to gain new projects and specifications whilst trying to break existing specifications of competitor products.
Your targets will be in terms of turnover, profit and number of installs.
You will be of the mindset that this is your business and you will be driven to put in the effort, miles and time to make this a success
You will need to have a proven business development background in the lift industry
