Dutton Recruitment currently require a number of Business Support Officers to work for Rotherham Councils Children and Young People's Services.

We are looking for flexible, resilient and talented business support professionals that can:

  • Provide excellent customer service to children and families in difficult situations
  • Be flexible to meet the needs of the service
  • Work to tight timescales with sensitive and confidential information
  • Be resilient and maintain professional standards in emotive situations

The key reason for these roles is to provide business support to front line social work teams with general admin duties such as updating systems, arranging translation, sourcing equipment, financial systems, petty cash, invoices and budget reconciliation.

This role also includes reception duties, dealing face to face with families and children and young people and taking messages for Social Workers.

They also carry out some statutory duties within the Looked After Children Team which include: preparing Health Assessments paperwork, notifications to partner agencies and other authorities for placements, uploading Personal Education Plans, supporting Social Workers with payment requests for clients, processing invoices and car hire / train tickets.

The Business Support Officers also take minutes for Strategy Meetings and Legal Gateway Planning Meetings.

Working in this role is challenging at times but the rewards of following a child's journey and seeing how your contribution has impacted on them makes it worthwhile.

You will also be required to undertake general administrative duties.
