Dutton Recruitment currently require 2 x Business Support Assistants for work in the Hellaby area of Rotherham

The role is to assist the Business Support Officer in the provision of a high quality service to the Directorate and provide administrative & technical support.

Key Duties/Areas of Responsibility

  • Dealing with telephone and face to face enquiries relating to general procedures and work of the section and to provide advice, guidance and to take appropriate action.
  • Receipt and distribute incoming post, process correspondence and send out accordingly
  • Gather information to report back to others
  • Set up and produce non standard letters/templates/spreadsheets/documentation, update and maintain databases and produce management information
  • Provide help and assistance to staff in the use of IT packages/systems
  • Carry out filing, maintaining records, preparing documents for scanning, photocopying, faxing, arranging meetings, diary appointments, taking minutes & attending meetings
  • Providing full support to arranging events including producing materials, booking venues, booking catering, sending out invitations
  • To ensure that the section complies with administrative procedures relating to Council Policies, Standing Orders, Financial regulations etc. by providing advice and/or administrative support.
  • Handle and reconcile cash in accordance with agreed procedures
  • Supervise and allocate work to more junior staff
  • To undertake other duties and responsibilities, as required, commensurate with the grade of the post.

Initally for a 3 month period, there is a possibility for these roles to go permanent.

Previous experience in a similar role is essential as our client are looking for someone who can "hit the ground running".
