Job Title: Business Support Manager Job Purpose: Work with Design Services to support finance, commercial and general office functions.
A member of the Design Services Division responsible for compliance with local and group process and procedures liaising closely with the Financial Controller/Finance Team, Shared Services and other Commercial Management Teams.
Key Tasks / Responsibilities:
Management of agency invoices ensure they accurately reflect hours worked whilst ensuring timely payment
Materials purchase ordering, GRNing and processing for payment
Running missing timesheet reports and ensuring 100% completion on a weekly basis across all offices
Processing journal transfers within the Causeway Project Accounting (CPA) when required
Establishing new project codes and users in CPA
Compiling monthly overtime and holiday reports
Raising fleet/plant requisitions ensuring that delivery is as specified
Off-hiring fleet/plant in a timely manner
Booking hotels and travel for staff and Senior Management Team
Recording and arranging training ensuring most cost effective solutions are sourced and delivered
Recording Corporate Social Responsibility hours on Kier's SIP System and furthermore promoting fundraising events
General office management to ensure statutory compliance in liaison with the Design Services Facilities Manager
Any other ad-hoc duties as required
Key Skills / Qualifications:
Requirements:
Must hold a full UK driving licence
Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and computerised accounting systems
Excellent communicator both verbal and written and a strong contributor in meetings
Has personal drive and commitment to delivery of results
Demonstrates analytical, creative and proactive thinking
Ideally has experience in either the construction, highways maintenance or utilities industries
Qualifications:
Vocational Qualifications at Level 4 or above or Degree
