Salary: £30,000 - £36,000
- A newly established Modular Systems Manufacturer seeks to appoint a Buyer on a permanent, full time basis.
With the significant backing of a multi-national corporate group, this newly established division promises to shake up the UK Housing Market with the introduction of a fully Modular housing solution.
Manufacturing in-house, just outside of Leeds, this business has recently appointed a senior buying manager and this vacancy is driven by a vital requirement to bolster the team and bring further construction buying experience into the fold.
The Role:
* Expedite vendors as necessary to ensure delivery and/or available inventory supports the production and project plans
* Manage open orders and receipts; reconcile and keep current
* Prepare and supports negotiations to obtain highest feasible savings
* Support planning and coordination of new product introduction or product changes
* Maintain and publish key performance indicators
* Provide input into the commercial, legal and service level negotiations of contracts, renewals and disputes
The Requirements:
* HNC/HND in Engineering and/or Construction
* A thorough understanding of ERP/MRP, purchasing tools and techniques
* A demonstrable knowledge of the construction, engineering and manufacturing markets including industry trends, emerging products, & commercial models
* Sufficient understanding of contract law to be able to review agreements
