We are looking for a Buyer to join a mass volume modular house manufacturer who has recently opened a brand new factory in Derby. With massive growth plans over the next coming years, this is a fantastically exciting opportunity for the right candidate.

This is an urgent requirement for a Buyer, who has experience in housing / housebuilding and reporting to the Head of Supply Chain. You will be working closely with the Planning function and other departments as well as developing and managing relationships with your key suppliers. It's a great company, with a product that is facing an ever-increasing demand, and the factory itself is using modern machinery, methods and processes so this is a great opportunity to get involved.

Main Purpose of role

  • To source goods, materials and services to ensure that the company operational needs are met, considering price, quality and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply.
  • To undertake SRM activities to drive continuous improvement and innovation through the supply chain
  • To work across the Group to ensure opportunities are maximised and that a co-ordinated approach is maintained.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Will likely be of HND/HNC or Degree Level
  • Professional Qualification (CIPS membership preferred but not essential)
  • Must have good standard of Excel
  • Proven experience as a buyer with a housing developer or within the residential sector
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
