The Company is a global temporary facility builder, and integrated FM and logistics provider. They operate in a number of environments but within the UK their work tends to focus on providing support services to large engineering and construction projects.
The Company is tendering for a project to build a number of temporary buildings, including Offices, Canteens, Welfare facilities, Medical room, Warehouses and a Training facility, in support of a construction project.
The Company will not find out if they are successful until Mid-April which leaves minimum time to recruit around 90 workers necessary for the construction of the Temporary facilities.
Most positions will come to an end after 3 months although a small number may continue for the life of the main project.
Expressions of Interest are requested for one of the initial positions to be filled that of a Buyer.
Please note this vacancy will not become an available job if the Company is unsuccessful in its tender.
Key Features of the Role:
Utilise your experience as a Buyer to conduct all purchasing activity in accordance with company contracting and procurement policy.
Work closely with Inventory Control to source high priority inventory and direct purchase materials from local suppliers for various work scopes as required.
Monitor requisition pipeline and assess workload priorities to actively manage critical demand, high risk items with the vendor freight forwarder as required to meet the operational start date.
Use your skills a Buyer to engage vendor and technical support to resolve procurement queries (ensuring the material sourced meets the customer requirement).
Engage vendor and technical support to resolve assigned Material Non-Conformances (NCR's).
Call upon your experience as a Buyer to actively monitor assigned vendor performance and engage the vendor representatives, contract owner and contract advisor to conduct contract performance reviews drive performance and process improvements.
Follow hazard elimination program (HELP).
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Ideally an accomplished Buyer with construction site experience to source products from the local area.
Experienced in supply chain procedures and able to identify and source supply partners, in line with a departmental sourcing process.

An adept cross functional team worker with experience of managing a sourcing process from market research through to supplier nomination, contract award and contract management.
Ideally you will have a valid CCNSG passport or relevant document and be able to follow safety rules as assigned by the Company.
Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel.
What’s on Offer?
£28-30K pro rata on a temporary worker basis.
No Holidays are offered or expected to be taken during the 3 months unless fully authorised by the Senior Manager on site.
