We're looking for experienced Fibre Cablers to join our Telecoms team based in Basingstoke. Within this role, you will have the opportunity to work on the installation of the core cables that connect our towns, villages, and cities via the openreach underground and overhead network.

Location: Hampshire, Berkshire

Contract: Permanent

Salary: Up to £33,500 DoE

Responsibilities

As an experienced FTTP cabler, you'll be working as an operative within the BT ONSA / BT FALCON teams supporting them to meet their weekly completion targets for the fibre build expectations of our customers.

Your day to day will include:


  • Carry out all pre pulling/cabling tasks in the underground or overhead network as directed by the Project Manager
  • Ensure full compliance with NRSWA Regulations, along with Health, Safety & Environment guidance.
  • Ensure all necessary Compliance documentation is adhered to, i.e., Safety & Quality - (Self-Audit & POWRA)
Who are we looking for?

This role of experienced Fibre Cabler is great for you if:


  • Hold a full driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points on your licence
  • Previously held or have a valid NRSWA street works card
  • Previous experience working onopenreach's Network and have held the followingopenreachaccreditations:
    • SA002 or SA006 (Safe working in the UG network)
    • SA001 (Preferable) - Safe working in the overhead network
    • K8 - Test Rod and Rope
    • N28 - Cabling in the Underground network
  • Required accreditations to be valid for a minimum of 4 months (demonstratable via Smart Awards)
