Position: CAD Engineer

Location: Within 1 hours' commute of Stevenage

The opportunity:

To join Kier's Stevenage office Services Engineering team as a REVIT Technician working with engineers to produce 2D and 3D drawings/models from sketches/mark-ups utilising current version of the Autodesk Building Design Suite. You will provide quality drawings that comply with company and client's standards that help the team to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and delivery of an efficient service are met. You will be required to continually further your knowledge to keep with current market trends with emphasis on BIM and the relevant software.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage the development and interface of drawings and models with other disciplines
  • Ensure work is completed in timely and accurate manner to keep within project budgets
  • Engage with Mechanical and Electrical engineers to ensure mutual understanding of project requirements.
  • Keep up to date with current market trends
  • Actively engage with the implementation of Kier agreed strategy on BIM including Cloud collaboration software
Individual:

  • Considerable working knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD and experience with Revit MEP & Navisworks
  • Knowledge and interest in the developments in BIM within the industry
  • Comprehension of building services terminology
  • Experience within a multi discipline Services Engineering environment
