We have an exciting opportunity for a CAD Draughtsman to work with the design team of a major JV on HS2 for 8 months. You will have 10 years civil structural autocad 2d/3d experience.

Contractor Draftsman requirement:

  • 10 years civil & structural AutoCAD & AutoDESK Civil 3d experience
  • AutoCAD - temporary site installation structures in 2d to prepare concept design (Batching Plants, Workshops, Precast Factory, Precast Storage Yards, Gantry Crane, Tower Cranes, Heavy lifting plan arrangements, Foundations of Tanks, Site Installation step-ups for varies stages of construction ie, ground treatment, d-wall, excavations, permanent structure stages.
  • AutoCAD - temp tunnel installations such as TBM launching sequence, shifting ways, MSV segment and concrete supply, tunnel internal structures (invert slab, walkways and drainage), grouting set-up in tunnels, pipework and utilities arrangements in tunnels and portal, site installation for TBM launching and break-out.
  • Civil 3d - Earthworks modelling and cut and fill volume calculations / manipulations. Drainage design helpful.

Skills:

  • Positive attitude, good communication skills, ability to raise issues while drawing
  • A thorough knowledge and good working experience in drawing on Autocad is essential (block, sequence, layer, coordinates)
  • A familiarity with Document Management System and a sensibility to document quality
  • Ability to extract data and compute them on Excel

Experience:

  • 5-10 years civil structural autocad 2d/3d experience - preferably with experience of viaducts and large scale infrastructure.
