CAD Technician Job in SW London

CAD Technician job in Chelsea, SW London. Our client, a top 100 House & Garden design firm, is seeking a CAD Technician/Interior Architect to work as part of a team on classical/traditional high-end residential projects.

Established for over 45 years, our client has a world-renowned sense of style that appeals to both a contemporary and traditional market. With the continued expansion of their client base, a CAD Technician is required to assist with their current high-end residential projects. Candidates with prior experience in a top 100 House & Garden company are highly desirable for this vacancy. Good knowledge of furniture design/construction is beneficial.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Preparing interior concept design proposals
  • Developing design from original brief through to completion
  • Developing the design proposals using CAD and ideally SketchUp for 3D visuals
  • Space planning to the clients' brief
  • Preparing / assisting with producing technical drawings - including plans, sections, elevation and details related to the interior architecture (e.g joinery details, bathroom details)
  • Producing drawings, schedules and specifications related to the FF&E
  • Attending site visits and be comfortable with all stages of the construction process

Required Skills & Experience

  • Degree qualified in interior design or similar
  • 3+ years' experience in residential interior design
  • Strong AutoCAD skills. SketchUp and the Adobe Suite are also beneficial
  • Experience/knowledge of furniture construction

What you get back

  • Salary ranging between £30,000 - £35,000
