We're looking for a CAD Technician to join our Kier Professionals Services team based in Waterbeach, Cambridgeshire. Within this role you can enjoy 26 days annual leave, sharesave scheme, family friendly policies and even more.

Responsibilities

As a CAD Technician, you'll be working within the Kier Professional Services team, supporting them with delivering a broad range of complex Civil and Structural/MEICA and related services in both temporary and permanent works.

Your day to day will include:

  • You'll produce BIM models to support tender schemes and project delivery. These will include 3D models, production of 2D CAD drawings to support engineering functions and works design.
  • You'll also support tender and bid winning through outlining design schemes, feasibility studies and concept evaluation which focuses on efficiency and innovation.
  • You'll also be tasked with delivery of value engineering and providing engineering expertise/technical advice and identifying technical risks and solutions to facilitate scoping, pricing, designing and construction.
What do we need from you?

This role of CAD Technician is great for you if:

  • You have civils 3D experience is essential.
  • You'll be working towards memberships of a relevant professional institution such as IPD for EngTech MICE or IEng MICE and demonstrable post-educational experience.
  • You'll also have a design focused approach and strong experience in other AutoDesk software.
  • You have strong technical capabilities and a delivery focused approach, then this is the role for you!
