JOB TITLE: Campus Experience Officer
LOCATION: Stamford
SALARY: £9.49 per hour + statutory holiday pay
QRS is working on behalf of an established Further Education College within the Stamford area and is looking for a Campus Experience Officer to work Monday to Friday 8.30 - 17.00 term time.
Overall Purpose
Acting as a College ambassador always, the Campus Experience Officer will ensure a safe, secure and welcoming learning environment for staff, students and visitors, liaising with individuals and teams within the College, agencies and community groups.
Accountabilities
*Monitor student behaviour, intervening and managing behaviours when appropriate, promoting a positive College ethos at all times, reporting inappropriate behaviour to a duty manager in person and through an electronic reporting system.
*Be an integral part of the cross College Student Services and monitor student behaviour, take appropriate action and deal with any inappropriate behaviour, following College procedures, in liaison with relevant members of College staff.
*Reacting immediately to incidents and disturbances. Use a range of interventions to resolve conflict successfully including effective mediation strategies.
*Monitoring the common areas of the campus to support and maintain expected behaviour. Identify and challenge student behaviour deemed outside College expectations.
*Supervise students at break times, ensuring students are respectful of their surroundings, staff and of each other.
*Make disciplinary referrals where appropriate, completes incident reports, keeps records of disciplinary cases and provides evidence for disciplinary hearings as and when needed
*Maintain a strong presence around the campus in order to monitor student activity, keeping a log of student incidents and re-occurrences.
*Monitor and co-ordinate campus coverage, including off-site provision and the surrounding areas, ensuring a safe environment for all; preventing unauthorised access to the College's facilities and respect for College property and personal possessions.
*Checking on commencement of shift CCTV is fully operational and reporting any faults through the electronic helpdesk system to IT Support.
*Investigate security matters which require attention and provide advice and assistance as necessary.
*Carry out site security audits.
*Report all faults/damage to the buildings/property that could become a security breach.
*Notify the Transport Coordinator team of any incidents, issues or concerns raised by the drivers.
*Supervise the arrival and departure of students travelling on the home-to-College transport.
*Supervise the arrival and departure of staff and students travelling by car, check parking permits and issue enforcement notices as appropriate
*Provide First Aid cover to students, staff and visitors and carry out emergency procedures alongside College Policies.
*Be a member of the emergency response team for all incidents and to respond as a member of the fire evacuation team.
