Kier Places are recruiting now for a Caretaker to join our team at Westfield School on our Sheffield Schools contract in order to maintain effective PFI service delivery to our client.


Key Responsibilities

In this important Caretaker role, your day to day activities will include carrying emergency cleaning as required, adjustments and maintenance, responsible for locking and unlocking of grounds, managing the site security and carrying out fire and safety precaution across multiple sites.

The role will include general building maintenance duties to ensure the site meets the required standard such as: low level lamp changing, minor joinery repairs, minor plumbing repairs, grounds maintenance such as litter picking/snow clearing/gritting, portering duties, and other tasks relative to the skill level of the role.


What do we need from you?

Ideally, you'll have previous experience within a Caretaker or Porter role with a strong emphasis on delivering effective customer service.

You'll engage in a positive manner and able to conduct any heavy lifting involved in line with the manual safety handling training, and also be able to produce paperwork and information to be used for reporting.
