Salary: £24.00 per hour
We are working directly with a local council who are looking to recruit an experienced Carpenter / Multi Trade Operative to deliver a repair service with a commitment to proving a high quality efficient and resident focused facility.
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out all aspects of carpentry repairs and maintenance to occupied council owned stock
- UPVC window and door repairs/replacements
- Repairing or replacing skirting boards, floorboards, window frames, doors, door linings, door handles and locks, cabinet handles, stairway railings, etc.
- Repairing patching of plaster and replacing small areas of tiles
- Diagnosing and valuing, via a schedule of rates (SORs) any further repairs to be raised to term contractors whilst being aware of budget limitations and implications.
Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence (clean)
- NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds in Carpentry
- Asbestos Awareness (desirable)
