Protocol are working with a fantastic College in Gloucestershire to recruit a Carpentry and Joinery Assessor. The primary role of the assessor is to assess learners' performance and/or related knowledge in a range of tasks and to ensure that the competence and/or knowledge demonstrated meets the requirements of the apprenticeship frameworks or standards.



Role responsibilities
Motivate, inspire and lead learners in the achievement of their qualifications
Implement and administer all training and assessment and internal verification procedures as laid down by the General Conditions of Recognition from Ofqual and the Institute for Apprenticeships
Support, train and guide learners and develop their personal and professional knowledge, skills and behaviours with regard to assessment, their apprenticeship programme and verification
Guide and support learners as to the required evidence for their NVQ or skills as part of an apprenticeship standard and to make judgements about that evidence


The person & qualifications
To be able to demonstrate an ability to train, assess and verify to required standards

An assessor qualification (A1 or CAVA
Experience in assessing, planning, controlling and implementing Apprenticeship programmes

To be able to use own initiative and work unsupervised demonstrating self-management when under pressure and in demanding situations
