Category Manager required for prestigious offsite construction company. As Category Manager, reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will be taking a lead role in strategic sourcing, analysing spend and developing a competitive framework. You will be an important player in supplier relationships, involved in evaluation, developing and monitoring KPIs, risk management and managing various projects for the Procurement Department.
About you:
- You will have experience in procurement / category management / purchasing from a strategic perspective, ideally from the construction industry.
- You have a good working knowledge of the most up to date procurement and purchasing methods
- You have proven experience in working in a fast-paced industry
- You have knowledge of contract law with experience in writing supplier contracts, able to negotiate supply contracts with a degree of complexity and high value
