According to the analysis the unemployment rate for November in construction industry estimated to fell nationally in 44 states on a year-over-year basis. The Associated Builders and Contractors’ labor statistics data shows an increase of 38,000 net new jobs in December in construction industry. According to the data, the employment of the construction industry is increased by 280,000 year-over-year. The employment in nonresidential industry rose by 35,800 new positions over the November month and the gains are split evenly between heavy and civil engineering (+16,300) and specialty trade contractors (+16,100). The trustee members are Claudia Dodgen, Steve Corriher, Sidney Rex, Meghan Ketterman and Rebecca Battle-Bryant. Bill Stricker named as staff liaison whereas Adam Pfanmiller as appointed young leader.

The new board of directors includes Ron Brown (Chair), Casey Schwager (Chair Elect), Charlie Wilson (Treasurer), Mark Johnnie (Vice Chair), Paul Mashburn (Immediate Past Chair), Dave Simpson (CAGC President & CEO) and Dean Wilson (Building Division Chair). The appointed directors are Melvin Williams and Traci Strickland and directors at large are Sam Young, Greg Hughes and Ty Edmondson.
