Carolinas Associated General Contractors names 2019 leadership. The new board of directors includes Ron Brown (Chair), Casey Schwager (Chair Elect), Charlie Wilson (Treasurer), Mark Johnnie (Vice Chair), Paul Mashburn (Immediate Past Chair), Dave Simpson (CAGC President & CEO) and Dean Wilson (Building Division Chair). The appointed directors are Melvin Williams and Traci Strickland and directors at large are Sam Young, Greg Hughes and Ty Edmondson.

U.S. Census Bureau Data Analysis for November Shows Decrease in Price of Construction Materials

Associated Builders and Contractor Analysis of U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data for November reports a monthly decline. The data shows 1.7 percent decrease in the price of nonresidential construction inputs for the month. According to the analysis there is a 15 percent increase in the prices of natural gases when compared to October month. The prices of materials are 5.3 percent more on the basis of year-over-year and the price of construction materials fell by 1.8 percent in November.

Associated Builders and Contractors releases U.S. Census Bureau data that reports national nonresidential spending rose by 0.1 percent in October. The analysis shows total nonresidential spending for the October month stood at $763.8 billion that was seasonally adjusted annualized rate. The spending represents 7.3 percent increase compared to previous year over the last year.
