U.S. EPA announced funding to 5 institutions for research regarding human and ecological health impacts associated with water reuse and conservation practices. According to EPA’s Thomas A. Burke, said research “will help us manage and make efficient use of the water supply in the long term.” Funding recipients include Water Environment Research Foundation (WERF), University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Utah State University, University of Nevada, and University of California Riverside.

ATA is reaffirming HELP Inc.’s PrePass services as an Endorsed ATA Featured Product, further strengthening the relationship between the two groups. HELP’s PrePass electronically screens carriers’ safety records and credentials before they go out on the road, utilizing only most current, accurate data available. Information used to screen and determine whether carriers qualify for bypass is subject to stringent security and privacy requirements adopted by HELP’s public-private board of directors.
