NIST teamed with National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) to host symposium, during which fire service and research community representatives identified and prioritized firefighter health and safety issues and subsequently created guide to address said issues through scientific study and technology development. Consequently, National Fire Service Research Agenda is available for individuals and organizations that conduct and support projects that meet “Everyone Goes Home” goals.

During IPC APEX EXPO, IPC’s 2-13 Shop Floor Communications Subcommittee brought together leading software developers, machine vendors, assembly equipment manufacturers, and their customers to work on development of a new IPC standard to meet current and future needs of industry that will fill gap identified by the group. New standard will provide uniformity of data protocols that will allow ease of machine to machine communication.
