Registration for “Making Net Zero Net Positive: Solving the Efficiency & Cost Paradox” opened as of March 21. This free webcast, scheduled for April 21, 2016 from 1–4 pm EDT and offered by ASHRAE’s Chapter Technology Transfer Committee (CTTC), will feature  presenters discussing technical and financial challenges in achieving net zero buildings. Presenters include David Underwood (ASHRAE), Marc Brune (PAE), Philip Macey (AIA), and Paul Torcellini (NREL).

BIO applauded Iowa’s Senate for approving 5-year, $105 million production tax credit for renewable chemicals and helping to drive innovation in this new sector. Speaking on behalf of BIO, vice president of its Industrial and Environmental Section Brent Erickson pledged to support Iowa legislature, other states, and federal government in helping “to level the playing field in economic development incentives for renewable chemical and biobased manufacturing technologies.”
