As announced by CSA Group, Rajiv Rajput assumed new role of executive vice president of strategic development. CSA Group president and CEO David Weinstein praised Rajput’s “skills and expertise” in welcoming him to executive leadership team. Appointed as vice president of technology solutions for Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS), Mike Nawrocki will develop strategic initiatives to meet industry trends and direct ATIS in next generation technologies and networks.

On January 11, 2016, OSAC Forensic Science Standards Board (FSSB) voted to elevate ASTM Standard E2329-14, Standard Practice for Identification of Seized Drugs, to OSAC Registry of Approved Standards. Concerns have been raised that language in said standard is not scientifically rigorous; NIST and FSSB independently asked ASTM to review included language. To respond to concerns, ASTM listed standard as “Under Revision.”
