Change Consultant - Utilities sector

Working for a consultancy leading a change programme within a Utilities provider. Focused on rolling out Net Zero initiatives.

Location: - Exeter (Devon) - 2/3 days per week, Home-based - 2-3 days per week.

(You have to be flexible to be on the client's site for workshops, meetings, training etc... as required)

Salary: - £75,000 - £80,000 basic + Package + Lodging costs and travel costs of being in Exeter.

Role Description

The Resolute Group are working in partnership with a leading Consultancy within the utility sector that focuses on change and transformation. In this division, it is focused on Net Zero and the policy and process changes required for an organisation to fall in line with the organisation's Net Zero strategy.

We are looking for an experienced business change expert to drive effective and sustainable business change management. This is a business-facing role that will require you to proactively manage relationships, handle behavioural change in an organisation and develop champions to effectively roll out a change your programme.

Embedded into a client's organisation, you are not only responsible for the change programme but also the internal stakeholders and any pushback the team gets. As with any change programme there is some resistance hence the importance of developing relationships and delivering a clear change plan that everyone can understand and buy into.

The day-to-day duties will vary depending on the stage of the project, but they could include:

  • Create effective rollout plans.
  • Actively facilitate discussion groups and workshops with stakeholders
  • Work closely with project team members to ensure that project deliverables efficiently contribute to the development of the business change programme.
  • Support the design and delivery of training programs to embed new ways of working, processes, and initiatives.
  • Work with various stakeholder when it comes to updating policies and procedures.
  • Understand the client change landscape and culture (including any longer-term considerations), and develop the appropriate business change, communication and engagement strategy to complement it.
  • Working with the key stakeholders to support the business in delivering Net Zero roll out projects as part of the programme.

This role is working on a hybrid basis but 2-3 days you will be based in Exeter then 2-3 days working from your home.

Your background: -

  • Proven experience in the Utilities sector - Gas, Power, Water
  • Change experience in delivering a Change programme, ideal Net Zero / Energy saving based but as long as you have Utilities experience this can be flexible.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Degree qualified or MBA again would be ideal due to the levels you will be operating at.
  • Full driving licence as you will need to travel.
