Breedon is a leading constructions materials group in Great Britain and Ireland, with around 1 billion tonnes of mineral reserves and resources. Breedon have a strong growth strategy; we have significantly expanded in 2020/21 with the completion of the Cemex acquisition, delivering an additional 170 million tonnes of mineral reserves.
We are seeking an experienced Chartered Surveyor to join our Wales & South region who is enthusiastic and committed to manage our mineral and or industrials portfolio with a track record of delivering further organic growth. The office base location is flexible for the successful candidate.
We are looking for an individual with the ability to influence and communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders. You will be people focused, with excellent attention to detail and the drive to make it happen.
Your key responsibilities, achieved via coordination and liaison with external consultants are to:
- Take lead on negotiation and preparation of property agreements
- Management of property agreements and associated occupation costs, including the payment and review of rents and royalties
- Management of commercial and industrial assets and operations
- Support the Company's organic mineral replenishment strategy
- Maintain Breedon's licence to operate in a sustainable, cost effective and sustainable manner
Additional responsibilities include:
The successful candidate will be provided with a company vehicle and must be willing to travel to the Company's various locations across the Wales & South region.
The role will appeal to a candidate with a commercially focused mindset with a continuous improvement and 'can do' philosophy. Good communication and problem-solving skills are important, together with the ability to relate to people at all levels, both within and outside the Company.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level and have the relevant surveying experience and be self-motivated, pro-active and able to manage a broad range of projects simultaneously with minimum supervision. You will be a Chartered Surveyor not less than 5 years' experience.
