Heat Network Associates (HNA) specialise in the providing their Local Authority clients with client engineer/supervision services during city-centre utility installations, and are in high demand, through ensuring best practice during construction of UK buried heat networks. HNA’s core strategy is to assist the UK Government and Local Authorities deliver and expand city-centre low-carbon buried heat networks, which are key to reducing both local and national carbon emissions sustainably. Brief Description In this role, you will rapidly develop the civil and mechanical supervision skills to act as an NEC Supervisor on a specific delivery project in Bristol. You will oversee Bristol City Council’s Contractors, arranging inspections & tests and managing defect correction. You will inspect Contractor works compliance against specifications/scope and report to the NEC PM when non-conformance occurs. You will support the continued development of HNA’s Project Quality Documentation and complete documents including site inspections, test records, defect registers and site reports. What the role involves • Supporting the Client, Project Manager and Contractor in the spirit of mutual trust and cooperation. • Defect identification/notification • Inspecting corrective actions taken by the Contractor. • Witnessing/recording civil and mechanical tests. • Populating construction records in a Common Data Environment (Sharepoint etc). • Assessing compliance against written specifications. • Attending Weekly Co-ordination meetings with the NEC Project Manager. • Collating material certificates and as-installed data. • Maintaining a daily log of site activities, meetings and contractor labour/plant. • Supporting RAMS reviews. • Developing HNA’s Project Quality Documentation. • Liaising with; Client, PM, local stakeholders and interested third parties. What you’ll need To be successful in this role you will have previous experience in either; Civil Engineering, Streetworks or the Utility industry. Professional, clinical and proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, you will be well versed in document control within a common data environment. You will also be familiar with duties under CDM:2015 and safe methods of working in construction. Supervision and Health and Safety accreditations would be advantageous, or the willingness to rapidly train. As a confident communicator, you will possess a progressive and collaborative approach with the ability to establish strong relationships with colleagues, clients and Contractors. Conscientious and with a strong eye for detail, you will have experience in using construction drawings and the need to construct in accordance with written specifications.
