Your role as a Civils Supervisor
As a Civil Supervisor you will be responsible for the site supervision of field operatives (direct labour and subcontract) to ensure that all client orders are delivered to time, in a safe and compliant manner, ensuring all contractual processes, procedures and quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities of a Civils Supervisor
- Responsible for overseeing all civils activities relating to fibre build programme
- Ensuring works are planned in accordance with contractual KPI's
- Liaising with Highways Authority, Police and Local Authorities carrying out joint audit/FSVA
- Reporting escalations and ensuring compliance to contractual clearance timescales
- Guarantee compliance to all quality and safety standards via in-progress and retro checking regime
- Reading and interpreting client network schematics
- Coaching and identification of operative training and accreditation requirements
- A proactive, good communicator with demonstrable experience in the industry
- Ability to work on your own initiative and deliver against key objectives is a key aspect of this role
- You will need to have good people management skills, to liaise effectively with the team and stakeholders with exceptional customer focus.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of legislation affecting Kier's activities in the highway
- Awareness and understanding of the Communications Network Installation Specifications
- NRSWA - current qualification to supervisor standard
- It would be beneficial for you to have relevant Openreach Civils accreditations, COSHH/RIDDOR/Health &Safety at Work - Knowledge of regulations and requirements.
