Your role as a Civils / Delivery Manager

Kier Utilities are currently looking to recruit?a?Civils/ Delivery Manager?to work on our delivery programmes in partnership with Openreach. You will be part of our?delivery team, responsible?for providing leadership, direction, and development of the wider team.

The successful applicant would need to be from a strong telecommunications background, preferably with a proven track record in managing field operational teams in a delivery environment and with experience of working on the Openreach network. Experience on Fibre build programmes would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities of a Civils / Delivery Manager

  • You will be responsible for the Project Management of civils delivery, underpinning the build of new Fibre network delivering to thousands of properties. Along with management of Supply chain resources and direct labour teams
  • Attend and chair all required meetings with client, internal stakeholders, and delivery teams. Liaise with the local authorities to ensure appropriate notices and work programme agreements etc
  • Ensure coordination of work stack is in line with delivery programme, ensuring delays are minimised by resolving operational issues to enable swift job closure and invoicing. Ensuring prompt and accurate completion and return of relevant compliance documentation
  • Ensuring relevant Health and Safety standards are followed and achieved
  • Lead and develop the team to successfully meet and exceed both Kier/Openreach expectations. Jeopardy management of works to ensure that date delivery and volume delivery targets are met.
  • Regularly monitor and motivate staff/operatives to deliver the highest possible standards
To be a successful Civils / Delivery Manager we need from you:

  • Telecommunications/ Utilities work with an in-depth knowledge of Openreach specifications & documentation is desirable and
  • Experience in Civils' delivery ideally related to fibre network build programmes.
  • Excellent communicator with leadership skills, with the proven ability to build strong relationships and exceed client expectations. You will need to have the
  • Ability to motivate, manage and grow a successful team. A valid UK driving licence is required for this role.
  • SSSTS or?SMSTS (desirable)
  • NRSWA accreditation to supervisor (desirable)
